186 appliances, aids distributed among differently-abled children in Bandipora

Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that specially-abled children are as good students as others, as such, deserve every possible support from the government as well as public level.

District development commissioner (DDC), Bandipora, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary today distributed 186 different aids and appliances and 53 eyeglasses among differently-abled school children, at a distribution cum fitment function,  held at Mini Secretariat premises, here.

The function was organised by Education Department in collaboration with ALIMCO, Auxiliary Production Centre ( a Government of India undertaking) with an aim to provide different aids and appliances including hearing aids, sensory aids, walking aids and visual aids to the differently-abled school going children to enable them to work at par with other students.

Speaking on the occasion,  the DDC said that specially-abled children are as good students as others, as such, deserve every possible support from the government as well as public level.
