A three day workshop on review and revision of curriculum concluded at JK Board of School Education (BOSE) Bemina here.The workshop was conducted by the academic division of JKBOSE to review mathematics text book of class 2nd and 3rd primary.
The workshop was conducted in wake of the analysis of JKBOSE textbooks done by NCERT, New Delhi. Speaking at the occasion, director academics JKBOSE Farooq Ahmad Peer said the BOSE is upbeat to develop the qualitative content material at par with national level.
“The review of state level textbooks through an apex national level institute like NCERT is one of the steps to this direction,” he said.
Peer said out of 37 textbooks reviewed by NCERT so far, the report of 31 has been discussed threadbare in series of workshops organised by JKBOSE.
“Necessary modifications were also incorporated accordingly in the JKBOSE textbooks which are in vogue. The remaining six textbooks will be reviewed and implemented from the academic session 2019-20,” he said.
