‘3 drug peddlers arrested in Sopore’

Police on Monday said that it arrested three drug peddlers at Sopore in Baramulla district.
In a statement here a police spokesman said, “Police arrested three notorious drug peddlers during a naka checking at Sopore. Contraband substances were recovered from their possession and the vehicle they were travelling in was seized.”
He identified arrested three drug peddlers as Manzoor Ahmad Sofi, Muneer Ahmad Shah and Farhan Hameed Shah.
“Nearly 680 capsules of Spasmoproxyvan and 24 bottles of Codeine Phosphate were recovered from the vehicle. A case FIR No. 49/2018 under section 8/22 NDPS Act has been registered and investigation has been taken up,” he added.
