Sopore : A Kashmir based entrepreneur feeds 10 families, a strong slap on the faces of unemployed educated youth in the valley
Junaid Nabi khan(28) of Sopore started a new restaurant at New colony Sopore North Kashmir Baramulla district.
Junaid Nabi khan an MBA from University of Kashmir resigned from government service to fulfill his father’s dream.
Junaid shared his experience with Media and said “I never relied on any government sector job , I started my own restaurant for my father. My father was a prominent businessman and ex president of Traders Federation Sopore . 13 May 2010, He got shot point blank while travelling in a horse cart in the main chowk at the time of 2010 valley unrest. Sopore town witnessed the utmost violence, more than 10 civilians were killed and unfortunately my father. Was one of them. My father was a great man. He always helped needy. And taught us the same. I started my own business to full fill his dreams.
After the death of Junaid’s father, he had to suffer at every stage of his life. If he wanted he could have been like other 2 lakh opiates and drug addicts, valley has but he chose to fight the situation. He completed his MBA degree from kashmir university and started ‘ten tables’ a family restaurant that also offers food home delivery. ‘Ten tables’ symbolises the ten families that are feeding because of junaid’s restaurant. Junaid’s offers all kind of kashmiri, French,chinese with some special dishes counting on it.
According to a research about 2 lakh Kashmiri are opiates. 65-70% kashmiri students are in the trap of drugs. Junaid’s ‘ten table’ is a slap on the face of educated youths who rely on the government to make their carrier and choose the path of drugs or violence
“Make your carrier by ur won before time will spoil you” junaid’s quoted these lines as a message to the youth.
