Anantnag gunfight fallout: Train service suspended across south Kashmir.

Authorities on Wednesday suspended the train service between Srinagar and Banihal following a gunfight between militants and the government forces in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

The service has been suspended as a “precautionary measure” in view of the ongoing gunfight in Lal Chowk area of Anantnag town, said an official. “Trains will chug normally on Srinagar-Baramulla route,” he said.At least two militants are believed to be trapped inside a house in Mehmaan mohalla of Anantnag town.
