Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday dared Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national Spokesperson Ram Madhav to prove the allegations that the alliance for government formation among NC-PDP-Congress was on Pakistan’s behest or ‘be man enough to apologize.’
Omar was responding to Madhav’s statement that the ‘fresh instructions to form government in J&K among NC-PDP-Congress was from across the border.’No, misplaced attempts at humour won’t work. You HAVE claimed my party has been acting at the behest of Pakistan. I dare you to prove it! Place the evidence of your allegation of NC boycott of ULB polls at Pak behest in public domain. It’s an open challenge to you & your Govt,” Omar wrote on Twitter.
Earlier in the day, Madhav has alleged that both PDP and NC boycotted local body polls last month because they had instructions from across the border.
“Probably they had fresh instructions from across the border to come together & form govt. What they did prompted Guv to look into the whole issue: Ram Madhav on J&K assembly dissolved,” Madhav had told ANI news agency.
On Wednesday, amid high political drama, Governor Satya Pal Malik dissolved the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly after the Peoples Democratic Party and Peoples Conference staked separate claims for forming a government in the state.
The curtains fell on the day-long political drama Wednesday evening when the Governor dissolved the Assembly whose term would end in March 2021.
