Army chief to visit Srinagar today

Army chief General Bipin Rawat would embark on a two-day visit to Srinagar on Thursday, his first to Jammu and Kashmir after the Centre announced Ramadan ceasefire in the state.

A top army officer told Greater Kashmir that General Rawat would arrive in the morning. “ General Officer Commanding of Srinagar based Chinar Corps   Lieutenant General AK Bhatt will brief the army chief about the present situation in Kashmir,” the officer added.
