Army on Wednesday said that it provided financial aid to the victims of border shelling.
In a statement an Army spokesman said that “on 10 March, 2019 there was a cease fire violation in Uri sector by Pakistan in which it resorted to heavy artillery shelling and mortar firing. In this indiscriminate firing from across the border, one lady along with two of her children and two relatives were injured.
As a humane gesture, deputy commander, Kalapahar brigade presented an amount of Rs 30000/- to Muhammad Anwar, husband of Parveena begum as financial assistance. Dr Ramzan Mir, BMO Uri, Sarpanch of village Kamalkote and family members of the victims were also present on the occasion.”
