Begin dialogue process to resolve Kashmir issue: CPI (M)

CPI (M) in its 22nd Congress  held at Hyderabad has asked the central government to reverse the “hard line confrontationist approach” on Jammu and Kashmir and begin a “political dialogue with all political shades of opinion.”

In its resolution, the party demanded that Delhi- Kashmir dialogue must be accompanied by a resumption of talks with Pakistan in which as part of the dialogue, the issue of Kashmir should also be taken up.The resolution states that the PDP-BJP coalition government has deepened the communal divide between Jammu and the Valley.  The party has come down heavily on central government for its handling of the state. “The Modi government’s approach to Jammu and Kashmir is leading the state to disaster,” the party stated in the resolution.
