Border flare up fallout of deteriorating situation: Hurriyat (M)

Hurriyat Conference (M) today said the war-like situation on the borders was the fallout of the ‘deteriorating’ situation in Kashmir.
“To end the decades of hostility between two nuclear powers India and Pakistan, the resolution of Kashmir issue as per the wishes and aspirations of people is inevitable. Those at the helm in New Delhi are deliberately trying to hide and avoid the historic and political reality of the Kashmir dispute which is promoting further tension in the region,” a Hurriyat (M) spokesman said in a statement.
He said, “All the efforts to muzzle the genuine and sacred struggle of Kashmir through military might won’t succeed. Instead the move is fraught with dangerous consequences for the region over which the clouds of war between India and Pakistan are already hovering.”
“Meanwhile, a delegation of the Hurriyat leaders today visited the residence of Muhammad Eisa Fazili, who was recently slain at Hakura village in Anantnag district, at Ahmadnagar here and expressed solidarity with the family members on behalf of Hurriyat (M) and its chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq who continues to be under house detention. The delegation paid rich tributes to Eisa and stated that the youth are paying sacrifices for a sacred and great cause and the leadership and the people are duty bound to take their mission to its logical end,” the spokesman said.
Meanwhile, the spokesman has strongly condemned the continuous house detention of Hurriyat chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, terming it as highly ‘dictatorial and autocratic’. He also condemned the the continuous detention of Hurriyat senior leader Mukhtar Ahmed Wazar at police station Ananatnag) terming it as ‘political vendetta’.
