Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Jammu and Kashmir Economical Reconstruction Agency (ERA), Dr Raghav Langer today inspected sewerage works in Jammu-West.
The inspection started from Patoli Chowk area where the construction of man-holes and road restoration work is under execution.On the occasion, Jammu ERA Project Manager (Hydraulic) apprised that sewer network having a length of 176.0 kms with 34400 house sewer connections at an estimated cost of 154.50 crores is under execution under various sewerage packages.
“Till date 174.0 kms of sewerage network and 32000 house connections stand already commissioned in Bakshi Nagar, Sarwal, Rehari, New Plot, Toph, part of Paloura, Patoli, Bhawani Nagar and Janipur areas,” he added.
CEO also visited the interior lanes in Pandoka Colony, Indira Vihar and Janipur Colony and interacted with the people in order to know their views about the functioning of the sewerage network commissioned by ERA.He further directed to implement the traffic management plan and taking all safety measures for avoiding accidents and causing minimum inconvenience to the general public by seeking cooperation of traffic police.On the occasion, Deputy SP Traffic, Sunny Gupta raised the issue of delay in removal of excavated material from the construction sites and restoration works. The CEO issued strict instructions for addressing the issues on priority without delay.
