Congress is party of anti-nationalists, says Ravinder Raina.

State president Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) Ravinder Raina on Sunday said the Congress is a “party of anti-nationalists” and it has always “backstabbed” the “nationalist people of the country and the state”.

Addressing mediapersons on the sidelines of a “joining in program” in Jammu, Raina said, “Congress party leaders like Ghulam Nabi Azad issue a statement from Delhi and get appreciation from Lashkar-e-Taiba militants from across the border. By this, one should infer that Congress is a party of anti-nationalists.”

Obviously making a reference to the recent dissolution of the State Assembly by Governor Satya Pal Malik after the PDP, the Congress and the NC decided to form government in alliance, Raina said, “Congress has a track record of backstabbing nationalist people of Jammu and Ladakh regions and some districts of Kashmir region.” Raina congratulated the security forces for killing of 6 militants in Shopian district of south Kashmir and said that those wielding guns against the country will meet the same end.

“The operation all-out against militants will continue in Kashmir region in the same manner. Those who wield guns against the country, kill innocent people and disrespect the tricolour will always be dealt with iron hands,” Raina said.

Meanwhile, several Youth Congress (YC) activists led by its state president Uday Bhanu Chib burnt effigy of Ravinder Raina for his comment against the senior leadership of the Congress party.

Addressing media persons here, Chib said, “Ravinder Raina often makes irresponsible remarks against the senior leadership of the Congress party from different platforms.”

Chib said, “Raina recently said that Congress party was hatching conspiracy with Pakistan to form government in Jammu and Kashmir. I dare him to either prove his words or apologize for his remark.”
