DDOs asked to share salary details of employees with J&K Bank.

The  finance department has directed all drawing and disbursing officers (DDOs) to share salary details of all permanent employees with J&K Bank so they could be made the most-favoured clients of the bank.

According to a circular issued by Navin Choudhary, principal secretary to the government finance department, the state government has recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the J&K Bank, making the permanent government employees of the state as the most-favoured clients of the bank.

To avail the facility, there is need for sharing gross salary, net salary and the date of retirement of the employees to the bank.“Accordingly, it is felt necessary for convenience of the employees, that the administrative secretaries shall direct the concerned DDOs to share these details with the concerned banks so that the banks have the details readily available while sanctioning their loan cases,” it reads.
