Terming sudden dissolution of J&K Assembly as “murder of democracy”, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Firdous Tak on Wednesday said New Delhi has “repeated its past mistakes”.
Interacting with media late this evening here he claimed that throughout the day PDP tried to communicate to Raj Bhawan about the support from NC and Congress on government formation, but “all communication channels were blocked”.
He said that he himself remained outside Raj Bhavan for more than one hour to deliver the letter of support to PDP from NC and Congress, for forming the government, but “before that Governor J&K announced dissolution of assembly”.
He termed dissolution of assembly as an “undemocratic move” and “murder of democracy”. Earlier, Tak was tasked by the party to handover the letter of support to Governor Satya PalMalik for government formation.
“Entire @jandkgovernor office functional till now but all phones and fax not working. Collective Conscious,” he wrote on twitter. In another tweet he claimed the decision as brutal murder of democracy. “Brutal murder of democracy. J&K has been stabbed again and @jandkgovernor plays Delhi agent.”
