Drabu’s sacking right: Farooq Abdullah

The PDP’s decision to sack Haseeb Drabu as the finance minister is “right”, said the opposition National Conference President Farooq Abdullah.
Senior Abdullah also tried to link Drabu’s expulsion with the implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) in the state, a decision that was criticized by the opposition terming it as “surrender” of state’s fiscal policy. Drabu, according to Abdullah, had played a key role in implementation of the new tax regime in Jammu and Kashmir.
“He also implemented GST. PDP also saw what happened later. Now they took the decision,” said Abdullah who was accompanied by senior party leaders including provincial president Nasir Aslam Wani.
