Exorbitant rates on books: Div Com directs Deputy Commissioners to act.

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Khan has directed the Deputy Commissioners to act against booksellers who are selling books on exorbitant rates.

In a communique to all Deputy Commissioners, the Divisional Commissioner has said that he has received a complaint about booksellers selling books on exorbitant rates.”There has been complaint regarding sale of school level books for school children on exorbitant rates. It has been intimated that booksellers are charging higher rates than otherwise prescribed. In this connection you are directed to constitute teams for verification and also take necessary action against such booksellers who are resorting to such act, under intimation to the undersigned,” Divisional Commissioner said.
