Flood alert issued in south Kashmir after water level reaches danger mark.

Flood alert was issued in south Kashmir parts after water level reached the danger mark of 21 ft at Sangam in Anantnag district on Friday evening.

Mir Muhammad Shahnawaz, chief engineer Irrigation and Flood control, said the level at Sangam was 20.44 ft at 5 pm. “The danger level at Sangam is 21 ft. Flood alert is issued after water level crosses 21 ft.  Water level in Vaishaw nallah and Lidder nallah has crossed the danger mark,” he said.
