Geelani, Hurriyat (M) pay tributes to militants killed in Kreeri, Arwani.

Paying rich tributes to the militants, who were killed in gunfights with the government forces at Kreeri, Pattan, in Baramulla district and Arwani in Anantnag district on Thursday, Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani said , “Bloodbath, death and destruction all around the Valley is only because of the rulers, who are still in denial mode.”

“Even after killings on daily basis, men in uniform are not satisfied. They kill youths in broad-day-light and in the dead of night raid their house to pick them up and subject them to ruthless treatment in police stations and other interrogation centers,” Geelani alleged in a statement.

“We strongly condemn the arrest of several youth during nocturnal raids by the police in Shopian,” he said.

Geelani said, “Suffocating the entire nation, economically handicapping them and infusing fear of life and livelihood, the forces leave no stone unturned to throttle our innocent people especially youth so that they succumb to this tyranny and stay content  , but this tactics have never worked in past nor will these work today.”

Hurriyat Conference (M) Thursday paid glowing tributes to the militants killed  in separate encounters at  Kreeri, Baramulla and Arwani, Bijbhera stating that “every day’s dance of death” has exposed the Delhi’s real face in Kashmir as “oppression is on a full display with forces making the killing of Kashmiri youth under operation all-out as their regular feature.”

“The ultimate repression is also on to push the youth of Kashmir to wall and leave them with no choice other than to pick up the arms to fight the repression,” a Hurriyat (M) spokesman said in a statement. “While as priceless sacrifices are being offered by the youth of Kashmir on all fronts, the GoI leaves no stone unturned to unleash fear by killing, maiming and thrashing the youth under the garb of CASO and instead of accepting the ground realities in Kashmir, the GoI is dealing with the situation through its military might to force them into submission. “The spokesman strongly denounced the continuous house detention of Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq at his Nigeen residence since past three weeks. “It’s worst political vendetta. He is not even being allowed to carry out his social, religious and political activities,” he added.
