Paying rich tributes to the militants, killed in a gunfight with the forces in Hajin and Kulgam, The Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani today said, “Our youth are laying their lives for our right to self-determination.”
“In a telephonic address to mourners, Syed Ali Geelani paid glowing tributes to slain youth Umar Rashid Wani and reiterated his pledge to take the ongoing movement to its logical end,”
We will never allow anybody to make a sell-out with the precious blood of our youth. We are duty bound to safeguard their sacrifices and we should desist from such activities as would prove harmful to our movement,” Geelani said while addressing the mourners telephonically at the residence of killed militant Umar Rashid Wani in Kulgam.
He said, “The blood of youth is more precious than Haram-e-Paak and the people who bargain these sacrifices for their personal gains are conscienceless. These traitors betray their milli (community) interests and will definitely get punished for such wrong deeds in the hereafter.”
“For the past 71 years Kashmiris have has rendered unparalleled sacrifices. Thousands have been caged and tortured, properties worth billions razed to ground and looted, and sexual assault and rape used as war weapon. But Delhi has not been able to suppress our emotions with this brutality,” he added.
We need to strengthen our faith, avoid misdeeds and nourish the Islamic culture in our homes and society. People especially youth need to remain cautious about the sinister designs of anti-movement elements. We need to be vigilant and check the increasing crime graph in our society,” Geelani said while expressing his displeasure over the growing waywardness in the society.
“People are required to boycott the upcoming Panchayat elections. Participation in these elections is tantamount to committing treason with the blood of our youth. Delhi is misleading world community by portraying people’s participation in elections as a verdict in their favour. It is prerequisite to convey a strong message to world community that we pursue a cherished mission and in no way, justify, defend or favour these elections,” said Geelani.
