Hardliners in Delhi blocked process of dialogue, resolution: Bhat.

Senior PDP leader and former legislator Nizamuddin Bhat on Friday accused New Delhi of “perpetuating uncertainty in Jammu and Kashmir by delaying the resolution of Kashmir issue.

Addressing party workers at Bandipora Bhat said, “PDP’s emergence in the state as a popular political substitute had ensured participation of the masses in political and democratic process. At one point of time it looked that resolution was round the corner as several confidence building measures were taken by governments of India and Pakistan.

State government headed by late Mufti Muhammad Sayeed gained credibility as a representative government with enhanced trust and faith.”

Bhat said Mehbooba Mufti led government also was pursuing the same course at local level. “But she was failed by hardliners in New Delhi who blocked the process of dialogue and resolution.”
