The High Court has directed the government to consider promotion of nine class 1V employees, who have qualified type-test against the posts of junior assistants in the education department. The court has also stayed the “in-charge arrangement” as junior assistants of the class IV employees who have not qualified the type test.
While the court stayed the stopgap arrangement till objections are filed to the petition, it asked the government to consider promotion of nine class 1V employees having qualified type-test against the posts of junior assistants in education department.
As many as nine class IV employees had approached the court through their counsel Arif Skindar pleading that they were among the 18 employees who have qualified the type-test conducted by the education department through ITI Pulwama on January 17 this year.
“Out of these 18 candidates only six candidates have been promoted as junior assistants by director school education on June 26 against available vacancies,” they said.
