Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association (HCBA), Srinagar, today strongly condemned the armed forces’ recent nocturnal raid on Sugan village of Shopian district.“During the nocturnal on the whole village the forces bulldozed residential houses, vandalized orchards and chopped off trees belonging besides others to the family members of Zeenat-ul-Islam and also arrested three persons, including a father of four children,” the HCBA spokesman, said in a statement.

He also condemned the ‘attempt to set ablaze’ the house of a militant Adil Ahmad of Gandibagh, Kakapora, Pulwama, by the forces personnel.
It was the timely intervention of and protests by the locals that foiled the attempt of the government forces to set on fire the house Adil,” the spokesman said.
Meanwhile, Bar has supported the shutdown call given the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) for Saturday.
