Hurriyat Conference (G) leaders and activists today staged protest march at Hyderpora here against, what Hurriyat statement stated “the gross human rights violation committed by the forces in length and breadth of the state”.
“The protesters displayed the placards and banners highlighting their demands to safeguard the political and civil rights of people pursuing the right to self-determination. Senior members of Majlis Shoora and other representatives participated in the protest march. Besides, a large number of people from different walks of life were also present,” the Hurriyat (G) spokesman said in a statement.“New Delhi’s policy of suppression and repression in Jammu and Kashmir has failed to yield any positive results for India.
Delhi is currently facing a powerful people’s political movement for right to self-determination in every nook and corner of the state,” the spokesman quoted the Hurriyat leaders as having said while addressing the protesters.
