Reacting to Union home minister Rajnath Singh’s statement about talks, Democratic Freedom Party Sunday said that Kashmiris have always maintained that all disputes are to be resolved through dialogue but the dialogue process has to be result oriented.
DFP secretary general, Moulana Muhammad Abdullah Tari in a statement said, “New Delhi must not use the term talks only before media, but it should use dialogue as an institution to resolve the long pending Kashmir is
“The principal party of the Kashmir dispute, Kashmiri people, are looking for peace as they are the main sufferers of the dispute so it is our firm belief that dialogue should not be a mere photo session but it must lead to the resolution,” he said. Moulana Tari said that dialogue is the only effective tool to resolve issues however it must be held only to find a solution rather than adding to the problem.
“If Rajnath Singh is serious he must order his forces to barracks, engage all the parties to the Kashmir issue and release all political prisoners, so that a conducive atmosphere is made which can lead to a result oriented dialogue,” he said, adding “these are not any conditions to dialogue but its necessities”.
