A three day International conference ‘Bio-chemical innovation: Translating Cellular Cues into Novel Therapeutics’ was inaugurated at SKICCC on Friday.
The meet is an annual event of Indian Academy of Biomedical Sciences. The conference was attended by researchers from USA, Netherlands and Germany and India’s top research institutes like NCBS, IISC Bangalore, Defence Research Organization, AIIMS, KGMC, AMU and IITs.
Minister for Social Welfare, ARI & Trainings and Science & Technology, Sajad Gani Lone was chief guest on the occasion. He lauded the efforts of the Academy to have chosen Kashmir for this mega event and for inspiring the younger generation scholars to develop passion for research. Director SKIMS, Prof. Omar Javed Shah hailed the organizers for conducting the event and expressed hope that this event will pave way for future collaborations between SKIMS and other premier research institutes within the country and abroad.
Prof. Syed Mudassar, the organizing secretary welcomed the delegates on behalf of IABS. Dr. Aaliya A Shah, the co-organizer secretary presented the vote of thanks.
