Karra: PDP, BJP playing fixed match to save govt

Former parliamentarian Tariq Hameed Karra on Sunday alleged the ruling PDP and BJP were “playing smart by the way of fixing the match” to save their government in the state.Karra, who is one of the founding members of the PDP and resigned from it in 2016, said this in a statement following the resignation of two BJP ministers for attending a rally in Kathua in favour of the accused of rape and murder of a minor girl.“The PDP and BJP are trying to play smart by the way of fixing the match through rhetoric and pre-emptive measures, like withdrawing the ministers from the Cabinet, simply to save the government and remain glued to the power,” said Karra, who is now a member of the Congress.Karra said the people of the state were going through “one of the worst political crisis in the past 25 years” and claimed the state government was unmoved, unnerved and unperturbed.Karra said the PDP did a “blunder” by facilitating BJP’s elevation to power and described it as “beyond repair.”
