Locals disrupt CASO in Pulwama, 4 injured..

At least four youth were injured in clashes with government forces during a cordon-and-search operation in Pulwama district on Wednesday.
A source said a joint party of Jammu & Kashmir police, army’s Rashtriya Rifles and Central Reserve Force Personnel cordoned off Palapora village in Pulwama on Wednesday evening and launched searches.“The forces were confronted by youth immediately after their vehicles passed from the area. The village however was cordoned off and searches were launched. The youth appeared on the scene resorted to stone pelting to disrupt the operation. Forces fired teargas shells and pellets to disperse the protesters,” the source said. He said at least four youth sustained pellet and tear shell injuries.
Medical superintendent district hospital Pulwama Abdul Rashid Parra told Greater Kashmir: “Four youth were brought here. Three among them have pellet injuries and one has tear shell injury. They all are stable and are provided the required treatment.”
“We had inputs about presence of militants in Palapora. But no contact was established with them. Youth tried to disrupt the operation by resorting to stone pelting but they were dispersed. The operation was called off later,” a senior police official said.
