Major infiltration bid foiled in Uri, four JeM militants killed

Four heavily armed militants of Jaish-e-Mohmmad (JeM) outfit were killed after forces claimed to have foiled an infiltration bid in Dulanja frontier area of Uri near Line of Control during previous night.

A top police official told Kashmir Images on phone that during intervening night of January 14 and 15, a group of heavily armed militants believed to be three to four attempted to infiltrate to our side in Dulanja,Uri area of LOC.

“Our alert troops challenged the group and all the three militants from JeM suicidal squad were killed during the exchange of fire,” the official said.

He added that huge cache of arms and including war like stores recovered from the slain militants.

” From the recovery of Arms/ammunition and other war like stores it appeared that militants had come with a plan of undertaking a Fidayeen attack and belonged to Jaish Mohammad terrorist group,” the police official said.
