Karwan-e-Islami patron Alama Ghulam Rasool Hami on Tuesday said the extensive anti-liquor campaign launched by his party has started bearing fruits.
While addressing a seminar at Mehboob-ul-Alam College of Education at Bandipora, Alama Hami said, “The menace of liquor consumption is eating the young generation of Kashmir as it has spread to every nook and corner of the Valley.”
Alama Hami said, “While bloodbath has become a routine feature in Kashmir on one hand, on the other, the deep rooted liquor consumption is consuming the lives of young lot as they are falling prey to it. The need of the hour is to stay united to wipe out the menace of the liquor consumption from Kashmir.”
He alleged that the Government is openly promoting the liquor business in Kashmir despite knowing that it is putting the lives of people of Kashmir in a danger. “Shocking details have come from the SMHS report that says in the recent times, 10,500 youth have registered with the hospital to get rid of the growing drug abuse,” he added.
Meanwhile, Alama Hami paid rich tributes to the grandson of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW), Hazrat Imam-e-Hussain (AS), who rejected the Yazeed’s compromise offer and instead decided to prefer martyrdom of himself and his entire family including infants in the grounds of Karbala, Alama Hami said that Imam Hussain (AS) left a great lesson of truth and great belief for us to learn and to follow.
