Jamiat-e-Hamdaniya chairman Mirwaiz Molvi Riyaz Ahmad Hamdani today expressed serious concern over the summoning of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Syed Naseem Geelani to Delhi by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), terming it highly condemnable.
“If at all NIA wants to ask them questions regarding anything, they can summon them to NIA office here only. There seems to be no justification to summon them to Delhi where there is currently hostile atmosphere for all Kashmiris in general, and political and religious leaders in particular,” Mirwaiz Hamdani said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Mirwaiz Hamdani condemned the terror attack on twin mosques in New Zealand in which at least 49 Muslims were martyred and several others injured.Mirwaiz Hamdani expressed solidarity with the bereaved families. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
