National Conference has condemned the killing of a civilian Nouman Ahmed in forces firing in Shopian.
In statement here NC general secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar said that the state is passing through one of the most deadliest phases of its history. He condemned the civilian killing and wounding of several others in forces action “The state Governor and Government of India’s Home Ministry must intervene without delay to put a lid over the killing spree being witnessed every day in the state.”
A spokesman of the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) expressed dismay over the civilian killing, besides injuries to scores in the backdrop of Shopian gunfight leading to the deterioration in the situation in south Kashmir and elsewhere in the Valley.The party also emphasized the forces to exercise maximum restraint to avoid civilian casualties, while dealing with the militancy related activities.
Expressing his concern on the ongoing bloodshed in Kashmir, chairman of Peoples Democraruc Front Hakeem Yaseen has urged for united efforts by one and all to end loss of precious human lives due to violence in the restive state. In a statement Yaseen expressed anguish over the loss of precious human lives in Shopian gunfight. “Ongoing bloodshed is the darkest phase of Kashmir history,” he added.
