Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (R) chief patron barrister Abdul Majid Tramboo on Wednesday accused New Delhi of denying political space to the people in Jammu and Kashmir and trampling upon their basic rights.
“Indian authorities are denying the political space and trampling upon the basic rights of the people of J&K. This is the basic reason for the appalling situation in the state,” a spokesman of the front in a statement issued here quoted Barrister Tramboo as having said.
Paying rich tributes to the militants slain in Tral gunfight yesterday, Tramboo said, “Their martyrdom conveys a message that despite less in number as compared to rival forces and with meagre weaponry, they are committed to the cause and no amount of force or coercion can break their resolve.”
He said, “Their dedication and commitment send a clear and apt message that the destination they pursue is dearer and more precious to them than worldly gains. These martyrs are our heroes.”
