Director general National Investigation Agency Yogesh Chander Modi was in Jammu for two days last week to participate in ongoing investigation into militant attack on Nagrota army camp last year.
This was Yogesh’s first visit to the state after taking over the reins of the NIA. He returned to New Delhi on Saturday.
Two officers and five soldiers of the army were killed in the attack on Nagrota camp in November 2016. Army also killed three attackers.
So far, the probe agency has arrested three persons, Ashiq Baba of Alochibagh locality in Srinagar, Tariq Ahmad Dar, a Pulwama-based timber dealer, and Syed Muneer-Ul-Hasan-Qadri of Kupwara in the case.
An NIA official said Yogesh also inspected the Jammu office of probe agency. “He also lauded J&K police for their role helping NIA to execute tasks,” the officer said.
