Omar Abdullah would usher new era of development: Farooq Shah.

Regretting that Gulmarg constituency has been ignored over so many years , National Conference leader Farooq Ahamad Shah Thursday said that his party would usher a new era of development in the border constituency that is world famous for its tourism potential .

Addressing a gathering in his home village of Hardshoora, the former bureaucrat said that it was extremely painfull to see people in many areas of his constituency are craving for basic facilities like roads, healthcare and electricity etc.

He said in the modern world of science and technology, the electric conductors in many areas of Tangmag villages are hanging over trees and house roofs which speaks of the “so called development”, some people have been beating drums about.

Shah said that National Conference leader Omar Abdullah has a mission to get people out of the developmental crisis and said Gulmarg constituency would be the gateway for that.  Shah urged people to vote for change and said they (people) should become the stakeholders for the developmental agenda of the National Conference.

Shah said that the youth of the Gulmarg constituency have been deprived of the opportunities of education, employment and a life with dignity. He said the time has come when people of Gulmarg constituency would feel change and will have say in deciding the projects of their choosing .

Shah vowed to focus on infrastructural development besides bringing colleges, health centers, skill development centers, ITIs, tourism infrastructure etc to the constituency. Earlier  Shah visited Mulgam , Bon Hardshoora, Kralweith, Awlara , Mirpora etc and interacted with a large number of people of these habitations.
