Peoples League leaders released from Tihar after 8 years.

Senior Peoples League leaders including Muhammad Sidiq Ganaie Sopore, Ghulam Jeelani Lallu Sopore and Farooq Ahmad Dagga Kupwara were Friday released from Tihar jail after eight years of incarceration, a PL spokesman said.

The trio after being released visited the martyrs graveyard Eidgah. They along with  chairman of Peoples League, advocate Bashir Ahmad Tota offered fateha there and reiterated to fight for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue, he added. Muhammad Sidiq Ganie while speaking on the occasion said that the political detainees at Tihar Jail are facing hardships as they are being lodged with those who have committed crimes. “The detainees are being harassed by criminals,” he said.
