Qazi Yasir accuses Waqf of ‘mismanagement’.

Head of Ummat-e-Islami Mirwaiz south Kashmir Qazi Ahmed Yasir on Tuesday said Waqf Board has been “degenerated into an institution to benefit a few wealthy men”.

He said: “despite the fact that Waqf board owns around 170 buildings, 1350 shops, 1400 rooms, over 30 showrooms, 86 sets, 50 halls, besides dozens of other assets, they have shown no real concern over the betterment of shrines and mosques in Kashmir”.

“…but with the passage of time it degenerated into an institution to benefit a few wealthy men,” he added.

He also accused Waqf of “mismanagement”.
