Shopian killings backlash: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front Chief Yasin Malik detained in Srinagar

Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Yasin Malik was detained by government forces in Srinagar during wee hours on Monday.

The party spokesperson said a large posse of police arrived at Malik’s Maisuma residence early morning and detained him.

He said Malik is currently lodged in Kothibagh police station.

The spokesman said that Malik was detained to prevent him from leading demonstrations against the militant and civilian killings in Shopian yesterday.
