Workshop on modernization of land record organized

In order to acquaint the revenue officers and officials of the district with modernization of land records, as a part of government’s initiative ‘Digital India Land Record Modernization Program,’ a day long workshop was held here today.
The occasion was chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Tariq Ahamad Zargar and presided over by Regional Director, Survey & Land Records Peerpanchal Range Showket Hussain Kazmi.
Among others present were SDM Mendhar, Rahul Yadav, ACR Poonch Ashraf Chowdhry, Tehsildars and other officials.
The Regional Director acquainted the participants with various components of the project. He informed them about the scope and objectives of the Digital India Land Records Modernization program.
Technical expert from ‘RAM TECH’ company Rana presented a detail power point presentation with regard to do’s & dont’s while processing of scanning, Khasra indexing, data entry of the textual records, digitization of the cadastral map and its use with respect to the satellite imagery and integration with the records and quality checks of scanned records.
He also acquainted the officers with the way and certain processes involved in the modernization program.
Deputy Commissioner, while speaking on the occasion, advised the revenue officers and officials to make optimum use of this orientation program and deliver on ground to make this district topper in this government initiative of ‘DILRMP’.
